Infocomm Media Club

SNGS Infocomm Media Club offers students a dynamic and engaging platform to explore the world of technology, media, and communication. As part of the club, students gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Infocomm technology, such as coding, digital media creation, video production and graphic design. Through workshops, projects, and competitions, members can develop critical skills in problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration. The club encourages students to harness technology not only as a tool for innovation but also to create meaningful impact in their communities.

SNGS Infocomm Media Club aims to develop students’ skills and character through service to the school community. Members take on important roles such as photography and videography for school events, ensuring moments are captured and shared. They also engage in coding projects, enhancing their technical expertise, and support school programmes through public announcement duties. By participating in these meaningful responsibilities, students not only sharpen their Infocomm skills but also contribute to the smooth running and vibrancy of school life, embodying a spirit of service and teamwork.

CCA Highlights

Public Announcement (PA) Duty for school events All members are rostered to perform PA duties during school events. For many of the members, this eventually forms a memorable part of their school life.
Photography and Videography All Infocomm Media Club members underwent basic photography and videography courses and also regular photo review sessions. These sharing and critique sessions aimed to provide the members with greater knowledge and awareness about photo composition and the story that the photos convey. This develops the students’ photo taking skill.
Coding From basic icon-based coding to almost hardcore programming, learning to code is a core skill for all members. Students learn to code on a variety of platforms and through various courses throughout the 4 years..
Learning Journeys Through various learning journeys around Singapore, Infocomm members get to learn more and deepen their understanding about the various skills. For instance, going to the Headrock VR at Sentosa helped the members learn more about the advancing technology in today’s society. This also allows the members to forge stronger bonds with each other and get to know one another better.
Projects During the CCA programmes, Infocomm Media Club members do projects that offer students hands-on experience in technology and media production, such as coding apps or creating digital content. These projects allow students to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios, fostering critical 21st-century skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity. In these collaborative projects, students enhance their technical abilities, improve communication, and gain leadership experience.
